Terms of Service

Please review the following terms and conditions that govern the use of our website and carpet cleaning services.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website at www.carpetcleaningmuskoka.com or engaging Carpet Cleaning Muskoka ("we," "us," or "our") for carpet cleaning services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Services

Carpet Cleaning Muskoka provides professional carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, area rug cleaning, pet stain and odour removal, tile and grout cleaning, sanitizing and deodorizing, and commercial carpet cleaning services throughout the Muskoka District and surrounding areas in Ontario, Canada.

All services are performed by experienced cleaning technicians using professional-grade equipment. The specific scope of work for each job is determined during the estimate process and confirmed before work begins. We reserve the right to decline any job at our discretion.

3. Estimates and Pricing

  • We provide free, no-obligation estimates for all services. Estimates are based on the information provided by the customer and a visual assessment of the work area.
  • Final pricing may differ from the initial estimate if the actual conditions differ significantly from what was described or observed during the estimate (for example, heavily soiled areas that require additional treatment).
  • Any changes to pricing will be communicated to and approved by the customer before additional work is performed.
  • All prices are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.

4. Scheduling and Access

  • Appointments are scheduled based on mutual agreement between the customer and Carpet Cleaning Muskoka.
  • The customer is responsible for providing clear and safe access to all areas to be cleaned, including moving small or fragile items from the cleaning area before our arrival.
  • For island and waterfront properties, the customer is responsible for arranging boat access or dock availability as required.
  • We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within the scheduled time window. However, service times may vary due to weather, road conditions, or unforeseen circumstances common in the Muskoka region.

5. Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans change. We request at least 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover scheduling and travel costs. Emergency situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Please call us at 705-482-0545 as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.

6. Satisfaction Guarantee

Carpet Cleaning Muskoka offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all services. If you are not completely satisfied with the results of our work, please contact us within 24 hours of service completion and we will return to re-clean the area at no additional charge. This guarantee covers the quality of our cleaning work and does not cover pre-existing damage, permanent stains that cannot be removed, or conditions beyond our control.

Every job is independently inspected before we consider it complete. If you have any concerns during or immediately after the service, please bring them to the attention of our cleaning technician on site.

7. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
  • We accept cash, cheque, e-Transfer, and major credit cards.
  • For commercial clients or recurring service agreements, custom payment terms may be arranged.
  • Outstanding balances not paid within 30 days of the service date may be subject to a late payment charge of 1.5% per month (18% per annum) on the unpaid balance.

8. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure the best results from our services, customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information about the areas to be cleaned, including any known stains, damage, or special requirements
  • Removing small, fragile, or valuable items from the cleaning area before our arrival
  • Ensuring pets are secured in a separate area during the cleaning process
  • Providing reasonable access to the property, including electricity and, when possible, running water
  • Informing us of any known property conditions that may affect our ability to perform services safely

9. Limitation of Liability

Carpet Cleaning Muskoka takes great care to protect your property during the cleaning process. However, our liability is limited as follows:

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to carpets, upholstery, or other surfaces, including wear, fading, tears, or stains that cannot be removed through professional cleaning.
  • Some stains are permanent and may not be fully removable regardless of the cleaning method used. We will advise you if we believe a stain cannot be fully removed before we begin work.
  • We are not liable for damage to items left in the cleaning area that were not moved prior to our arrival.
  • Our maximum liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Property Damage

In the unlikely event that our team causes damage to your property during the course of our work, please notify us immediately or within 24 hours of the service. We will investigate the claim promptly and, where our team is at fault, will arrange for repair or provide fair compensation. Claims made more than 7 days after service completion may not be eligible for consideration.

11. Website Use

The content on our website is provided for general informational purposes only. While we make reasonable efforts to keep the information accurate and up to date, we make no warranties or representations about the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of the content. Your use of any information on our website is at your own risk.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Carpet Cleaning Muskoka, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms of Service, your misuse of our services, or any misrepresentation of information you provide to us.

14. Force Majeure

Carpet Cleaning Muskoka shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, road closures, power outages, pandemics, or other acts of God. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule your service at the earliest available time.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario, Canada.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.
